Darin Dwight Rogers, 47, of Carson City, was arrested Saturday afternoon near the corner of Curry and 6th Street for felony DUI, misdemeanor hit and run, and misdemeanor driving on a revoked license.
According to the arrest report, a person called in to report that a vehicle had backed into his vehicle in a casino parking lot and left the scene. The reporting party followed the vehicle to a parking garage at Curry and 6th Street. When a Carson City Sheriff's deputy arrived, he found Rogers near the driver's side of the vehicle the reporting party alleged hit his.
The deputy reported that Rogers smelled of alcohol and couldn't walk straight. A records check revealed that Rogers had been convicted of felony DUI in 1989. Rogers refused to take field sobriety tests, but a blood sample was taken when he arrived at Carson City Jail. Rogers' bail was set at $11,500 plus administrative fees.
Also in the car with Rogers was Jeanie Marie Odaye-Contreras, 39, of Carson City. She was found to be on probation with a stipulation to stay away from alcohol. A preliminary breath test showed that she had a blood alcohol level of .213. Odaye-Contreras was arrested for felony probation violation. She was held without bail.
