A Carson City woman faces a gross misdemeanor charge of child neglect after allegedly leaving her two-year-old child alone in a Chevy Blazer.
Whitney Rose Warren, 22, was arrested at a parking lot in the 3200 block of Market Street on Monday at about 6:20 p.m. The arrest report states that a witness called authorities in reference to a small child left alone in a locked vehicle in the parking lot.
A routine records check revealed the woman's license had been revoked and that she was on alternative sentencing. When authorities asked how she arrived at the parking lot, the woman said she drove, the report stated.
Part of the condition of her sentencing was that she have a vehicle interlock device installed on her vehicle. No device was installed, the arrest report stated. The woman denied leaving her child alone for any period of time, but a witness stated that both she and her husband had observed the child alone in a locked vehicle with the windows only partially rolled down and the child standing behind the steering wheel, the report stated.
Warren also faces a charge of being in violation of a suspended sentence. Bail was set at $3,500.

— A 40-year-old transient was arrested Monday and faces a felony charge of being in possession of a prescription drug without a prescription.
William Dale French also faces a charge of petty larceny after allegedly taking a large bottle of vodka, valued at $13.47, from a Walmart store shelf and walking out without paying, according to the arrest report. He was detained by store security.
French was searched during the arrest, where authorities looked through a duffel bag and located several prescription bottles, all having French's name on them, the arrest report stated.
One bottle, however, labeled "Oxycod" had three pills inside that were labeled something else. French admitted that he knew it was illegal to have a prescription medication that wasn't prescribed to him and that he got it from a friend, the arrest report stated.
Bail was set at $2,500.
— A Reno woman was arrested Monday and faces a felony fugitive from justice warrant out of Santa Clara, Calif. and a failure to appear traffic warrant out of Carson City.
Karri Brianne Naylor, 32, is being held without bail on the Santa Clara warrant, which charges her with probation violation and being a fugitive from justice.
