A 49-year-old Carson City man was jailed on multiple misdemeanor charges, plus a felony warrant for grand larceny issued out of Lyon County. Drake Vancleave was arrested in the 1500 block of North Carson Street on Wednesday, at 8:26 p.m.
According to the arrest report, officers patrolling the area noticed a GMC Suburban driven by Vancleave didn't have a front license plate mounted in the front license plate bracket. The windshield of the GMC was also cracked.
Officers followed the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop on North Carson Street and Adams. A routine check through dispatch confirmed him to have a felony warrant issued Oct. 1, 2013 out of Lyon County for grand larceny and obstructing with a bail amount of $10,000, according to the arrest report.
Dispatch also advised the man was under parole and probation supervision and was not to be driving and that his license had been revoked, according to the arrest report.
Another record check revealed that Vancleave had a confirmed warrant out of Carson City Justice Court for failure to appear in traffic court. He faces charges of driving without a license plate, driving without valid insurance, fictitious registration, no valid driver's license and a felony warrant charge of grand larceny. Bail: $11,768. Vancleave is also on a no bail hold by the parole and probation department.
