On Saturday morning Carson City Sheriff's deputies arrested William Lloyd Bennett, 35, for felony burglary and home invasion, after a report that the suspect had broken into an apartment in the 1600 block of Stewart Street and "trashed" the place, including writing on the walls in blood.
According the arrest report, the victim knew the suspect and let deputies listen in on a phone call where he allegedly told her he trashed her residence because he was upset. He also denied taking the woman's dog, but had possession of the animal when deputies took him into custody. Bennett was also arrested for misdemeanor destruction of property and a misdemeanor warrant for failure to appear. His bail was set at $27,132.
Update 11/17/11: When the case was taken up by the DA, Bennett was not charged with a felony, only a misdemeanor destruction of property.

Willie Earl Johnson, 42, was arrested Oct. 13 for felony forgery after he allegedly tried to pay for a pizza with a stolen check.
According to the arrest report, Johnson allegedly gave a pizza delivery person a $40 check for a pizza and asked for the difference in change. When told he couldn't give back change on a check, Johnson told him to keep the change, which aroused suspicion. A deputy contacted the person whose name was on the check, and he didn't pay for any pizza and didn't know Johnson. He also said he had closed the account that the checks were for.
When confronted, Johnson allegedly admitted to finding the checks in the trash. His bail was set at $15,000.
