A Reno couple face felony drug charges after officers found methamphetamine inside a purse and stashed in a pill bottle following a traffic stop in the 1200 block of Woodside Drive, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.
Booked into custody at 9:21 p.m. were Christian Tyler Keogh, 25, and Soleo Moon Allen, 20. According to the arrest report, an officer observed a vehicle with suspended registration drive into the parking lot of Stanton Arms apartments.
The officer made contact with the pair. Keogh stated he had recently purchased the vehicle in California and did not have vehicle insurance and registration. He said he was aware the registration was suspend. A K9 conducted an exterior sniff of the vehicle that resulted in a positive alert. Officers located two glass marijuana pipes and a set of brass knuckles inside the car. In the woman’s purse officers found a baggie of methamphetamine.
At jail, Allen was asked if she had any drugs on her as she was going through the intake process. She first stated that she did not and then when informed it would be an additional felony charged if she brought drugs into the jail facility she admitted to having a small pill bottle inside her bra.
She was asked what was inside the bottle and the woman said she didn’t know. A deputy opened the bottle that contained plastic baggies with a gram methamphetamine.
Keogh faces charges of felony possession of a controlled substance, possession of a dangerous weapon (brass knuckles), possession of drug paraphernalia, suspended registration and no insurance. Bail: $9,486. Allen faces a felony charge of possession of methamphetamine and a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail: $3,637.
