A 28-year-old Carson City man was arrested Tuesday in the 3500 block of North Carson Street on misdemeanor suspicion of DUI and speeding, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.
According to the arrest report, deputies were called just after midnight to look for a vehicle in which a reporting party told dispatch the driver was under the influence and driving northbound on Mountain Street.
A deputy located the vehicle and followed it onto West Winnie Lane.
The deputy paced the vehicle going approximately 40 mph in a 25 mph zone on North Carson Street between Winnie and Hot Springs Road. The officer stopped the vehicle in the 3500 block of North Carson Street and observed the driver to appear intoxicated, the arrest report states.
He agreed to field sobriety tests and showed signs of impairment. He blew a .188 in the preliminary breath test and was arrested. Bail: $1,249.
— A 37-year-old Carson City man was arrested Tuesday, 12:41 a.m. in the area of Colorado and Roop streets on misdemeanor suspicion of DUI.
According to the arrest report, a deputy on patrol observed a sedan make an improper turn on 8th Street onto Carson Street and did not use a turn signal when turning. The driver abruptly stopped prior to entering a turn lane and then again appeared to slam on the brakes while turning onto Colorado Street, according to the arrest report.
The deputy made a traffic stop and could smell alcohol on the driver, who agreed to field sobriety tests and showed signs of impairment. He was placed into custody and agreed to take two evidentiary blood samples. Bail: $1,137.
— A 21-year-old Dayton man arrested Tuesday, 1:54 a.m. in the 200 block of Ormsby on misdemeanor suspicion of hit and run, obstructing and resisting arrest and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail: $2,186.
— A 36-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Monday, 5:10 p.m. in the 600 block of Hot Springs Road on a misdemeanor warrant, violation of a suspended sentence, issued June 16, 2016 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $3,000.
— A 61-year-old Carson City man was arrested Monday, 10:34 p.m. in the area of Lee and Peters streets on a misdemeanor contempt of court warrant, driving without a valid driver’s license and driving on a suspended and expired registration. Bail: $1,079.
