A Carson City Sheriff's deputy arrested Orion Jonathan Haines, 20, an unemployed Gardnerville resident, just after midnight this morning, for a misdemeanor contempt of court warrant, a misdemeanor obstruction of justice, a misdemeanor minor consumption, and a felony possession of dangerous unprescribed drugs.
Just after midnight, an officer observed Haines walking south near the intersection of Carson and John streets. The officer quickly ascertained that Haines, who originally identified himself as "Bryan Hanes," had a contempt of court warrant out for his arrest. Upon the post-arrest search of Haines' person, the officer discovered five loose oxycodone (Brand name: Percocet) pills in a front sweatshirt pocket. Haines claimed that he had a prescription, but as he did not have the bottle on him, the officer added that charge to the allegations.
Bail was set at $4,150 plus administrative costs.
