Carson City weekend crime roundup

The following persons were arrested this weekend by Carson City Sheriff's deputies:

Enrique Lopez Aguilar, 23, was arrested Saturday morning near the intersection of Daggett and Canyon Drive for felony statutory sexual seduction. According to the arrest report, the parents of a 14-year-old girl reported that the subject had come to their residence to drop off their daughter, and they blocked his vehicle so he couldn't leave. A deputy talked to the subject, who allegedly admitted to having sex with the girl, but said she told him she was 18 years old. His bail was set at $15,000.

Jose Jauregui-Mejia, 24, was arrested Friday night near his residence in the 1000 block of Woodside Drive for felony assault with a deadly weapon, misdemeanor battery and misdemeanor drawing a deadly weapon. According to the arrest report, one of the victims went to the subject's door to ask him to turn down his music. The subject then pulled out what looked like a black handgun and pressed the barrel against the victim's chest and stated, "You don't know who you are f---ing with." A second victim tried to intervene, and the subject reportedly battered that person before going back into his apartment. When deputies searched the apartment, they found a black pellet gun. Bail was set at $21,764.

Michael Swerdling, 23, of Carson City, was arrested Saturday afternoon in the 2800 block of Baker Drive for probation violation. He was held without bail.

Christina Marlene Vanegas, 39, of Carson City, was arrested early Saturday morning in the 2100 block of Highway 50 East for felony probation violation. She was held without bail.
