A Carson City father and two sons are in jail facing multiple felony and misdemeanor charges after allegedly beating a man who was apparently in an argument with a family member in which a cell phone was broken.
The incident was reported on Monday at 9:20 p.m., when a deputy was dispatched to the 300 block of David Street for a report of three men kicking in the door of an apartment.
On arrival the officer heard yelling and approached the apartment complex at the location and observed two men, identified as the 54-year-old father and the 32-year-old son, quickly walking away from an apartment on the south end of the building.

A deputy went around the East side of the complex as the arresting deputy walked toward the west side. As the deputy got closer to the apartment in question, the deputy heard a man's voice yelling. Then the deputy observed the 32-year-old enter an apartment.
According to the arrest report, the officer looked inside the apartment and observed the door jamb was broken and the door open. The deputy pushed on the door and saw the victim on the floor. The officer learned from the victim that the father and two sons had kicked in his door and beat him up because of an argument he had earlier with his girlfriend.
The deputies detained the father, 32-year-old son, and another son, aged 20. Another officer made contact with the victim. According to the arrest report, the victim's face was red and he was breathing heavy, with blood on his right wrist, on the floor and walls of his apartment but no visible marks or injuries.
The victim told the officer that the blood did not belong to him, according to the arrest report.
The deputy also observed a hole in the wall with blood spatter. The victim told officers that at about 8:30 p.m. he had been in an argument with his girlfriend at his apartment. The victim advised that during the argument the woman broke her cell phone and then, upset, she left the apartment.
The victim told officers that about 45 minutes later he heard a loud knock on his door. The victim told officers that before he could answer it, the door broke open, with the 54-year-old man, and two sons entering the apartment.
The victim told officers that he was pushed by 32-year-old suspect who held him down on a couch by putting his forearm into his throat, according to the arrest report.
While being held down, the 54-year-old allegedly began punching the victim in the face and on top of his head. The victim told deputies that he put his arms over his head to defend himself in the attack. The victim advised that the father punched him several times while the 32-year-old son held him down, as the youngest son, 20, stood and watched as a lookout, according to the arrest report.
The victim told officers that during the beating, the father and 32-year-old son yelled at him to stay away from the daughter/sister. The victim said after approximately one minute, the father and the youngest son left the apartment, while the 32-year-old kept his forearm on his throat. The 32-year-old then let him go and yelled at him to stay away from his sister.
The victim walk around the building to identify each subject during the investigation and positively identified the father and two sons as the suspects. The victim told officers that the 32-year-old entered his apartment first, followed by the 20-year-old son. The victim was not sure who actually forced the door open, but confirmed all three had entered. The victim identified the 32-year-old as the one who held him down. He identified the 54-year-old father as the one who punched him in the face, according to the arrest report.
The victim told authorities that his girlfriend was friends with another woman, who may have told the father and two sons about the argument. The victim said he believes the father and two sons "came over to teach him a lesson" according to the police report.
The victim completed a witness statement and requested to have all three men arrested. The victim and his apartment were photographed. The three men were transported to Carson City Jail and told officers they would not speak without an attorney present.
The father was booked on a felony charge of home invasion and misdemeanor battery. His bail was set at $26,132. The 32-year-old son was also booked on a felony home invasion charge and battery. His bail was set at $26,132. The 20-year-old son was booked on felony home invasion as an accessory. His bail was set at $25,000.
