A 43-year-old Zephyr Cove woman was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance after methamphetamine was found in her vehicle following a traffic stop, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.
Jenna Lee Clark was taken into custody in the 2100 block of Highway 50 East after being stopped for speeding. A K9 sniff of the vehicle revealed a positive alert for drugs and the vehicle was searched. During the search, officers found methamphetamine, a meth pipe and a large amount of cash. She was arrested. At jail she refused to sign a seizure notice for the cash, the arrest report states.
She also faces misdemeanor charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, basic speeding and failure to stop at a stop sign. Bail: $3,881.

— UPDATE: A 53-year-old Carson City man was taken into custody Wednesday, 8:38 p.m. in the 3000 block of Melanie Lane on suspicion of domestic battery. According to the arrest report, deputies were called to a residence after Carson City Fire Department personnel reported that a man was unconscious and may have been the victim of an assault.
The victim was flown to Renown Medical Center in Reno with serious injuries. As of Thursday night the victim remains in the hospital with life-threating injuries, said Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong. The influencing factor was alcohol and there were no weapons involved, said Furlong.
Deputies had been at the residence two times prior for problems between two roommates. When they previously met with the suspect, he was not injured. During the third visit, the suspect had cuts on his right eye, right fist and blood on his leg and shoes.
The man initially said the victim had a seizure. However, when the officer questioned the suspect about the cuts, he said he and his roommate were in an altercation, his roommate punched him and they wrestled with the victim collapsing to the ground and going into a seizure, the arrest report states. Bail: $3,137.
— A 41-year-old Carson City woman was booked into jail Wednesday, 8 p.m. on a misdemeanor warrant violation of a domestic violence temporary protection order. Bail: $5,000.
— A 26-year-old Carson City man was arrested Wednesday, in the area of Bigelow and Appion streets on misdemeanor suspicion, violation of a temporary protection order. Bail: $1,137.
— A 21-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of petit larceny. According to the arrest report, a deputy met with a Walmart loss prevention officer who said that the suspect, an employee of the store, went into the store on June 4, during her day off, and went through the self checkout area.
The loss prevention clerk told the deputy she failed to scan several items and then left the store without paying. The woman was read her Miranda rights. She admitted to the theft advising she made a “mistake.” She was arrested on suspicion of petit larceny. Bail: $352.
— A 30-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Wednesday, 3:19 p.m. at Walmart in the 3200 block of Market Street on suspicion of petit larceny. According to the arrest report, the woman attempted to steal $98 in merchandise and left the store without paying. Bail: $352.
