A 21-year-old Carson City man was arrested Tuesday morning on suspicion of driving a stolen car and possession of heroin and marijuana, a Carson City sheriff's deputy said.
Edy Prudensio Martinez-Ramirez was taken into custody by Carson City Sheriff’s deputies at 8:47 a.m. Tuesday near the intersection of Hells Bells Road and Parkhill Drive after a traffic stop revealed the silver 2001 Audi that Martinez-Ramirez was driving had been stolen.
Upon conducting a search of the vehicle, deputies found drug paraphernalia as well as baggies of substances that later tested presumptive positive for marijuana and heroin.
Martinez-Ramirez was booked into the Carson City Jail on $25,000 bail.
In other arrests:
— A 25-year-old transient, Jacob Martin Madden, was arrested Tuesday at 2:45 p.m. in the 800 block of east Musser Street on two felony failure to appear warrants — one for possession of a controlled substance and one for conspiracy to commit battery by a prisoner in custody — issued by the Carson City Drug Court. The warrants have no bail.
— A 53-year-old California man was arrested Tuesday at 7:21 a.m. in the 800 block of east Musser Street on a misdemeanor failure to appear warrant for a traffic citation issued by the Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $215.
— A 22-year-old Reno woman was arrested Tuesday at 2:20 p.m. near the intersection of Carson and west Ann streets on a misdemeanor failure to appear warrant for a traffic citation issued by the Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $955.
