Carson City Sheriff's deputies arrested several individuals for serious crimes over President's Day weekend. Among those are:
- Manuel Ricardo Pinuelas, 39, a self-employed Carson City resident, at about 4:30 p.m. Friday afternoon at the 4000 block of Emerson Drive. Pinuelas was arrested for a felony embezzelment and unlawful use of a credit card warrant in his name. Bail is set at $5,000.
- Melissa Shoemaker-Smith, 46, a Carson City woman, at about 6 p.m. at the 3000 block of Sherman Lane. Shoemaker-smith was arrested for a gross misdemeanor allegation of misusing 911. Bail is set at $2,500.
- Thomas Wilson, 22, a Carson City resident, at about 6 p.m. Friday evening oat the 200 block of David Street. Wilson was arrested for twp felony allegations of parole or probation violation. No bail is set.
- Kenneth James Johnson, 46, a cook from Carson City, at about 6:30 p.m. Friday evening at the Carson City Detention Facility, 911 E. Musser St. Johnson was arrested for felony allegations of involuntary manslaughter. Bail is set at $10,000.
- Timothy James Sparacino, 26, a Carson City resident, at about 11 p.m. Friday evening at the 1700 block of North Carson Street. Sparacino was arrested for a felony probation violation allegation, and misdemanor allegations of obstructing justice and being a drunken pedestrian. No bail is set for the probation violation; there is a $450 bail for the misdemeanors.
- Cherie Renee Titus, 50, a Carson City woman, at about 11:30 p.m. Friday evening at the 200 block of Burton Street. Titus was arrested for a felony allegation of battery on a police officer, and the misdemeanor allegations of battery, obstructing or resisting an officer of the law, and disorderly conduct. Bail is set at $31,450 plus administrative fees.
- William Antonio McGhee, 47, an unemployed Carson City man, at about 5 p.m. Saturday evening at the 400 block of Hot Springs Road. McGhee was arrested for the felony allegations of possession of a controlled substances (methamphetamines) and conspiracy to violate the Controlled Substances Act, and a misdemeanor allegation of failing to use a seatbelt. Bail is set at $17,500 plus administrative fees.
- Cassandra Berlyn Luster, 39, an unemployed Carson City woman, at about 5 p.m. Saturday evening at the 400 block of Hot Springs Road. Luster was arrested for three felony allegations: sales of a controlled substance, conspiracy to violate the Controlled Substances Act and Possession for the purpose of sales. She was also arrested for a misdemeanor allegation of failure to use a turn signal. Bail is set at $37,540 plus administrative fees.
- Rigoberto "Paucus" Vega, 31, an unemployed Carson City man, just before 9 p.m. Saturday evening at the 1700 block of Brown Street. Vega was arrested by a citizen for felony allegations of battery with substantiated bodily harm. Bail is set at $15,000.
Officers also made several misdemeanor arrests over the weekend, including:
- A 22-year-old factory worker from Dayton, for violation of a suspended sentence.
- A 30-year-old Carson City man for a first-time DUI.
- A 24-year-old Carson City man for petit larceny, possession of a hypodermic needle, possession of drug paraphernalia, and arrest of a probationer.
- An 18-year-old Carson City man for tresspassing.
- A 43-year-old Carson City man for tresspassing and contempt of court.
- A 45-year-old Reno stocker for Domestic Battery.
- A 30-year-old Sacramento man for a first-offense DUI and two other misdemeanor allegations.
- A 24-year-old Carson City laborer for contempt of court.
- A 52-year-old Carson City woman for contempt of court, suspended registration, and suspended drivers license.
- A 50-year-old Reno man for failure to use a turn signal, driving with no license, and obstructing justice.
- A 27-year-old Carson City man for two misdemeanor violation of bail conditions.
- A 23-year-old Carson City man for first offense DUI.
- A 47-year-old Carson City woman for first offense DUI.
- A 35-year-old Reno woman for a failure to appear.
- A 36-year-old Reno man for violation of bail conditions.
- A 26-year-old Stagecoach man for speeding and a failure to appear warrant in his name.
- A 19-year-old Carson City woman for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a hypodermic device.
- A 19-year-old Carson City man for a violation of a suspended sentence warrant in his name.
- A 19-year-old Carson City man for domestic battery.
- A 54-year-old Carson City man for contempt of court.
- A 36-year-old Carson City man for obstructing justice.
- An 18-year-old Carson City man for petit larceny and contributing to the deliquence of a minor.
- A 21-year-old Carson City man for a petit larceny warrant in his name.
- A 40-year-old Carson City man for petit larceny.
- A 24-year-old Dayton man for driving on a revoked drivers license and violation of bail conditions.
- A 23-year-old Carson City woman for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a hypodermic device.
- A 73-year-old Carson City man for violation of a suspended sentence.
- A 33-year-old Carson City woman for a contempt of court warrant in her name.
