Carson City authorities made three separate methamphetamine-related arrests earlier this week.
A 57-year-old South Lake Tahoe man faces a felony charge of possession of methamphetamine after being stopped on Wednesday at the corner of Carson Street and Hot Springs Road.
Officers spotted a Ford Ranger not driving in the travel lane and not having a red tail light. The driver, identified as Frederick Allan Russo, was stopped. Officers detected a smell of marijuana from his car and officers asked permission to search the vehicle and Russo agreed, according to the arrest report.
Officers with a K-9 found a metal container with marijuana and a straw, commonly used to inhale drugs. The man was searched and inside his jacket pocket was a clear glass pipe with white burnt residue, along with a plastic bag with meth inside, the report stated. Russo told authorities he was stressed out and needed the meth.
He was taken to jail with a $2,500 bond. He faces a felony drug possession charge for the meth, misdemeanor marijuana and a paraphernalia possession charges and a misdemeanor charge for having defective tail lights.

— A Carson City man was arrested Wednesday after he was stopped for a traffic-related matter, which led to drugs found in his possession.
Eric John Sunderland, 40, is being held on $2,500 bail for a felony possession of methamphetamine.
According to the arrest report, the man was stopped on an expired registration. As officers spoke with him they detected an odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. Sunderland said he didn't have any pot in his car however he did have a pipe. He reached between the driver's seat and passenger seat and removed a multi-colored glass pipe with burnt residue, according to the arrest report.
The man gave officers permission to search the vehicle. Inside officers found another glass pipe and a pink plastic bag with meth inside, which, after his Miranda rights were read to him, Sunderland admitted the pipe and meth were his, the arrest report stated.
— A Carson City woman who had a warrant for her arrest admitted to being in possession of meth and a pipe.
Officers arrested Tame Rae White on Wednesday after a confirmed warrant was issued for previous substance abuse fines not being paid. The woman was taken into custody. Once at jail she admitted to having meth and a pipe in her purse, the arrest report stated. She was being held on $2,000 bond.
— A Carson City man was arrested on Tuesday and faces felony charges of possession of stolen property and embezzlement.
Isidro "Angel" Vazquez, 42, was arrested after a restaurant supervisor reported to authorities that he was suspected in a number of thefts from a cash box. The supervisor said they had installed a hidden camera to record the thefts, which happened on five different days where Vazquez would allegedly take the money and put it in his right back pocket, according to the arrest report.
The amount taken was $900, all in $100 bills in which the supervisor had recorded the serial numbers on the bills, the report stated.
Authorities were on hand while the supervisor fired Vazquez, the report stated. The man was read his rights and he said he understood his rights and agreed to speak with the officer.
According to the report, he admitted to taking the money for bills. While searching the man, officers found four $100 bills matching the numbers recorded by the supervisor. Three of the bills were in the man's right read pocket and a fourth bill was in his wallet.
Vazquez is in jail on $50,000 bail.
