
A Carson City man faces a felony charge of possessing stolen property, a laptop computer, and five misdemeanors after he was arrested Sept. 14 in the 2800 block of Carmine Street.
Eduardo Reyes, 43, was jailed with bail at $27,469. According to the arrest report, officers went to the residence of the man who had a confirmed warrant out of Carson City Justice Court for obstructing and driving without a valid license.
A roommate stated Reyes was in the bathroom and he allowed deputies inside the residence. Reyes was taken into custody inside the home. He was also on Carson City Alternative Sentencing with a search and seizure clause for drugs and paraphernalia allowed and conditions that he obey all law conditions.
The roommate stated Reyes had been sleeping on the couch for several weeks in the living room and used the coffee table in front of the couch. The roommates stated Reyes was the only one who used the coffee table. The top of the table was cluttered with cell phones, torn plastic baggies and other junk items, according to the arrest report.
On a shelf on the coffee table deputies saw numerous glass methamphetamine pipes, methamphetamine bongs, a digital scale with meth and marijuana residue and a marijuana pipe. A small amount of marijuana was located in a container, the arrest report states.
There was a silver Dell Inspirion laptop computer on the floor next to the drug paraphernalia. Officers ran the laptop serial number with dispatch, who advised the laptop was confirmed stolen from Lyon County Sheriff's Office. The model laptop averages between $800 to $1,300.
Officers collected the items as evidence and went outside where Reyes was with two deputies in a patrol vehicle. Reyes looked at one of the deputies and then slumped over in the patrol car, the arrest report states.
Reyes was removed from the patrol car to the ground where he was unresponsive. He did not respond to deputies questions and paramedics arrived and determined that he was possibly faking a medical emergency. Reyes then became responsive, the report states.
He was lifted to his feet and officers attempted to sit him in the patrol car but he fell into the patrol and began screaming about being injured. During the transport to jail, Reyes spit on the back of a deputy's head, the arrest report states.
At least three times prior when arrested, Reyes has faked a medical emergency and walked away from the hospital.The last incident was on Sept. 8, 2013, where Lyon County Sheriff's Office arrested him on the same warrant and transported him to the hospital in Carson City. Reyes walked away from the hospital with IVs attached to his arms, the arrest report states.
Reyes was booked into jail on the warrant, possession of stolen property, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, obstructing a police officer and probation violation.

A 49-year-old Carson City man was arrested Sept. 14, 9:43 p.m. in the 200 block of Fleischmann Way and faces a gross misdemeanor charge of child neglect endangerment.
According to the arrest report, officers were called to the location for a possible domestic battery. A reporting party stated they had heard a lot of screaming and crying from a child inside an apartment occupied by a man and woman who have a small child. The reporting party stated they heard the man yell "I hate you and I wish you were dead" and believed the comments were directed at the child, the arrest report states.
The reporting party also heard the little girl say "Daddy don't" and then heard the child begin to cry. The reporting party advised they knocked on the door to make sure the girl was OK. After about 8 minutes the man answered the door and told the reporting party: "Nothing is wrong here" and slammed the door, the arrest report states.
Deputies responded and made contact with the man who identified himself. The man was extremely intoxicated with red water eyes and a strong odor of alcohol. The man invited deputies inside where officers noticed broken furniture over the floor, with clutter making it hard to walk, as well as papers, trash and food spread all over the apartment, the arrest report states. Food appeared to be thrown from a pot on the stove and spread all over the floor. The stove burner was left on and red hot, the arrest report states.
Besides the clutter from the fight the house did not look sanitary for a three-year-old child., the arresting officer observed in the report.
The child was was found sleeping on a couch next to several bottles of antifreeze. the child's skin appeared to be dirty as if she had not had a bath in a few days. The man stated the little girl was his daughter. All over the floor of the apartment were torn pages from a pornographic magazine, with pictures of naked women and men on the floor next to the little girl, the arrest report states. Officers asked the man why he allowed the pictures to be around his daughter and he stated he did not put those pictures there and that it was his wife who did, according to the arrest report.
The man said his wife was passed out drunk in the back bedroom and that she had drank 1/5 of vodka before passing out. Officers responded to the bedroom but the door was locked. The man said he didn't have a key. A deputy climbed through the bedroom window to check on the welfare of the woman, who was passed out in the bed on her face. The bedroom was just as cluttered as the rest of the apartment, with the bed blended into piles of dirty clothing, children's toys and trash, the arrest report states. The woman appeared to be having trouble breathing as she was coughing and choking, the arrest report states.
Deputies attempted to wake up the woman but she would not respond. Officers noticed the woman had bruise marks on her arms that appeared to be by someone grabbing her. The woman was taken to the hospital for medical treatment.
Officers spoke with the man who became very short with them and said he would not go into details. He stated he was not in a fight with the woman, but that she had started trashing the house.
He told the officer: "What can I do, I can't hit her." Officers asked if they got into a fight and the man denied fighting. He lated stated the woman came at him and beat on him. While talking with the man, officers noticed he was so intoxicated he was not able to stand under his own power, leaning against the wall the entire time. He agreed to a preliminary breath test where he blew a .215, the arrest report states.
Due to the circumstances, officers had Child Protective Services arrive on the scene and the little girl was taken into protective custody. Officers arrested the man for child neglect. The case has been forwarded to the District Attorney's office and request issued for child neglect warrant. Officers are also requesting the district attorney review the case in regards to domestic battery. Bail: $2,500.
— A 25-year-old Carson City man was arrested early Monday morning, Sept. 16 and faces a misdemeanor battery charge.
Officers arrested the man at 2:42 a.m. on a traffic stop in which there was a confirmed warrant for battery out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $500.
— A 31-year-old Carson City man was arrested Sept. 16, 3:30 a.m. in the 3800 block of South Carson Street on misdemeanor violation of pre-trail conditions. According to the arrest report, officers observed a suspicious vehicle in a theater parking lot. The man sitting in the driver's seat was on alternative sentencing with a no alcohol clause. He submitted to a preliminary breath test with a result of a .13. Bail: $3,000.
— A Carson City woman was arrested Sept. 15, 6:51 p.m. in the 3100 block of Highway 50 East. She faces a misdemeanor charge of domestic battery first offense after she and her boyfriend were arguing at a business. The victim told officers the woman pushed and attempted to hit him in which he was able to stop her, according to the arrest report. A witness confirmed the story of the victim. The woman stated she could have pushed her ex-boyfriend first but wasn't sure. Bail: $3,137.
— A 20-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Sept. 15, 1:03 a.m. in the 3200 block of Market Street. She faces a misdemeanor charge of petit larceny. The woman is accused of attempting to steal items valued at $47.63 from Walmart. Dispatch advised the woman was on alternative sentencing with a no alcohol clause. The woman submitted to a preliminary breath test with a result of .13. Bail: $352.
— A 25-year-old Carson City man was arrested Sept. 15, 3:26 a.m. in the 1600 block of Wendy Lane. He faces a misdemeanor charge of domestic battery. According to the arrest report, officers were called to the residence.
The suspect told police that he and his wife were at a pub crawl in Reno and that she hit him while they were driving home. He told deputies that he became angry and threw a bottle of liquor his wife had won against the outside door and that his wife attacked him, the arrest report states.
He denied being physically violent with the woman other than pushing her, the arrest report states. Officers observed scratches on his necked that appeared as though someone underneath him had scratched him as they ran down the length of his neck from his chin to lower neck. He also had blood on his left hand knuckles, the arrest report states. Officers asked how blood got on the door. He stated he brushed against the door and the door jam with his hand while attempting to restrain his wife. He told officers he got the scratches on his face and neck when she attacked him, the report states.
Officers spoke with the victim who denied hitting her husband in the car. She stated when she returned home her husband became angry and took the bottle and threw it against the door. She stated that he attacked her, scratching and hitting her in a rage. She said he has a history of mental issues and takes med. She said the man pushed her onto the ground and got on top of her, telling her she was going to die and "I'm not going to stop until I disfigure you!" the woman told deputies.
The victim said her husband than began to gouge at her eyes with his fingers and began biting her right ear. Officers observed bruising on the top of her right eyelid, blood on her right ear and scratches on her chest. Her shirt was also ripped on the right side. The woman was very upset and crying and believed her husband was going to kill her, the arrest report states. The man was determined to be the primary aggressor. He faces a misdemeanor charge of domestic battery. Bail: $3,137.
— A 28-year-old Carson City man faces a charge of battery domestic violence and two warrants after being arrested Sept. 14, 12:04 a.m. in the area of Stanton and Woodside Drive.
According to the arrest report, officers responded to the area on a report of a domestic battery in progress and met with the victim. She stated that she her boyfriend had been in an argument and that he had pushed her down, climbed on top of her, pinned her wrists and then slammed his head against her face causing injury to her nose, the arrest report states. She was taken to the hospital where doctors confirmed her nose had been broken.
Officers located the man in the area of Sharon and Woodside Drive and arrested him. He faces misdemeanor charges of battery domestic violence, and two warrants for probation violation and driving on a suspended license. Bail: $6,991.
Those arrested and facing charges are innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
