Carson City arrests: Man jailed on warrant alleging attempted lewdness with child

A 33-year old Carson City man was arrested Saturday by the Carson City Sheriff's Office Special Enforcement Team for a felony warrant alleging attempted lewdness with a child under the age of 14, a sheriff's deputy said.

Jose deJesus Olvera-Aguilar, 33, was arrested without incident at 11:45 p.m. in the 2700 block of Dori Way on the warrant, issued March 14 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $100,000.

In other bookings:

— A 26-year-old Carson City woman was arrested early Sunday near the intersection of Imperial Way and College Parkway on suspicion of driving under the influence first offense, a Carson City sheriff's deputy said.

According to the arrest report, a driver noticed a vehicle driving suspiciously and began to follow. The vehicle he was following pulled over and the passenger exited, and walked around to assist the driver — who appeared to be vomiting.

A CCSO deputy arrived and upon contact observed fresh vomit sticking to the side of the vehicle from where the driver would be sitting.

The suspect agreed to standard field sobriety tests and displayed impairment during each test. Between the horizontal gaze and walk-and-turn test the suspect asked to zip up her jacket, the arrest report states. It took the suspect several minutes as she fumbled with the zipper and almost lost her balance and fell over, a CCSO deputy said.

A partial preliminary breath test showed a result above the legal limit. She was arrested at 1:42 a.m. Bail: $1,137.

— A 22-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Saturday, 8:27 a.m., near the intersection of Saliman Road and Little Lane on suspicion of driving under the influence first offense and failure to stop at a stop sign.

A CCSO deputy on patrol observed a vehicle approach the intersection at Saliman Road and Robinson Street, while cars were stopped at the light. The brakes were applied and the rear of the vehicle drifted to the left, then to the right before the driver recovered and continued southbound, a deputy said.

The driver was pulled over, and upon contact the officer reports she had a strong odor of alcohol and marijuana. Observing red watery eyes and droopy eyelids the CCSO deputy asked the suspect to exit the vehicle, the arrest report states.

The suspects shoe laces were untied and her speech was slurred and her movements were slow and deliberate, the report states. She showed impairment during standard field sobriety tests, a CCSO deputy said.

At the jail, while completing the observation period for the evidentiary breath test, the suspect turned her shirt around stating she had been wearing her shirt backwards, the arrest report states. The evidentiary breath test yielded results of 0.196 percent and 0.177 percent BAC, respectively. Total bail: $1,249.

— A 29-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Sunday, 11:50 p.m., in the 30 block of Manzanita Terrace on suspicion of destruction of property.

A Carson City Sheriff’s Office deputy responded to a residence for a report of an unknown problem, the arrest report states. When the deputy arrived, the suspect was highly intoxicated and uncooperative and was with her sister and her sister’s boyfriend, a CCSO deputy said.

While the deputy was trying to ascertain facts of the situation, the suspect would either yell at the couple or tell the deputy to, “F*** off,” the arrest report states. The suspects sister and boyfriend said the suspect was extremely intoxicated when she came over and attempted to kick down a bedroom door, the arrest report states.

The owner of the residence filed a citizens arrest form referencing the destruction of the bedroom door. Total bail: $2,637.

— A 49-year-old Carson City man was arrested Sunday, 4:30 p.m., near the intersection of I-580 and Arrowhead Drive on suspicion of driving with no proof of insurance, suspended registration and no registration certificate.

The suspect was stopped by a Carson City Sheriff’s Office deputy on patrol at the Arrowhead Drive offramp, the arrest report states. A routine driver’s license check revealed the suspects driver’s license was suspended. The suspect was also unable to produce proof of insurance or registration certificate. Total bail: $960.

— A 37-year-old Carson City man was arrested Sunday, 4:48 p.m., in the 2700 block of Viking Way on a misdemeanor warrant issued by Carson City Justice Court for violation of suspended sentence. A records check confirmed the active and confirmed warrant when the suspect called authorities to report the tire of his vehicle had been slashed. Bail: $1,000.

— A 51-year-old Carson City man was arrested Sunday, 6:19 p.m., in the 2200 block of E. 5th Street on the suspicion of misdemeanor domestic battery, driving under the influence and driving with a suspended or revoked license. Total bail: $4,911.

— A 27-year-old Reno man was arrested Sunday, 12:44 p.m., near the intersection of 5th Street and Stewart Street during an unrelated traffic stop for a misdemeanor warrant for failure to appear issued by Nye County. Bail: $990.

— A 55-year-old Carson City man was arrested Saturday, 3:33 p.m., near the intersection of Airport Road and Highway 50 E. On a misdemeanor warrant issued by Carson City Justice Court for failure to appear. Bail: $425.

— A 29-year-old Carson City man was arrested, Saturday, 9:40 p.m., in the 2200 block of E. William Street on a misdemeanor Carson City Justice Court Warrant for failure to appear. Bail: $1,150.

— A 34-year-old Carson City man was arrested Saturday, 9:40 p.m., in the 2200 block of E. William Street on a misdemeanor Carson City Justice Court Warrant for failure to appear. Bail: $1,155.

— A 30-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Saturday, 10:40 p.m., near the intersection of Park Street and Carson Street on two misdemeanor failure to appear warrants issued by Carson City Justice Court. Total bail: $1,035.

— A 28-year-old Carson City man was arrested Saturday, 11:00 p.m., in the 1400 block of N. Carson Street on a misdemeanor violation of suspended sentence warrant issued by Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $3,000.
