Deputies responded to several calls over Thanksgiving weekend.

Martin Lee Williams, 28, an unemployed man from Wadsworth, was arrested at around 8:30 p.m. Friday near the corner of Long and State streets. Williams was discovered rummaging through a stolen vehicle shortly after it was stolen from the Uhaul parking lot and attempted to run when Carson City Sheriff's deputies observed him doing so. When apprehended, Williams allegedly admitted to having stolen the vehicle and expressed a desire to write a letter of apology to the owner. During booking, a pipe that looked to be used for marijuana consumption was discovered. Williams was booked for possible drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor, and a felony larceny of a motor vehicle. Bail was set at $16,000 plus administrative fees.

Officers arrested Robin Simpson, 41, an unemployed transient woman, at around 6 p.m. Thanksgiving day near the intersection of Carson and William streets. Simpson was arrested for misdemeanor jaywalking, misdemeanor drunken pedestrian, and a felony probation violation. No bail was set for the felony charge.

Alisha Marie Fanyo, also known as Alisha Potter, a 31-year-old Carson City resident, was arrested at around 1 p.m. Thursday for a misdemeanor failure to appear warrant, a gross misdemeanor battery of a police officer, and two felony possessions of prescription drugs without an authorized prescription. Fanyo, during arrest proceedings, is alleged to have kicked an officer in the pelvic bone during a legal search. Bail was set at $12,799.
