Crime Log: anonymous tip leads to arrest of Carson City family

Carson City Sheriff's deputies involved in the Special Enforcement Team made a series of arrests on Wednesday evening based on an anonymous tip of marijuana plants being grown. Four people were arrested:

  • Justin Lobretto, 29, a Carson City man, for possession of a controlled substance (marijuana - approximately 60 plants). Lobretto was also arrested for a gross misdemeanor allegation of child endangerment and a misdemeanor allegation of possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail is set at $6,000 plus administrative fees.
  • Catherine Mary Sizemore, 22, a Carson City resident, for possession of a controlled substance (marijuana). Sizemore was also arrested for a gross misdemeanor allegation of child endangerment and a misdemeanor allegation of possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail is set at $6,000 plus administrative fees.
  • Cory Sidney Short, 28, a machinist from Carson City, on a gross misdemeanor allegation of child endangerment and a misdemeanor allegation of possession of less than one ounce of marijuana. Bail is set at $3,100 plus administrative fees.
  • Aileen Rose Johnson, a Carson City woman, for a gross misdemeanor allegation of child endangerment and a misdemeanor allegation of possession of less than one ounce of marijuana. Bail is set at $3,100 plus administrative fees.

Deputies also arrested Moises Arturo Guzman, Jr., 54, a Dayton resident, for gross misdemeanor possession of a dangerous weapon, at an unrelated traffic stop Thursday evening. Bail is set at $2,500.

The following individuals were arrested for misdemeanor allegations:

  • A 49-year-old Winnemucca man for a contempt of court warrant in his name.
  • A 20-year-old Carson City man for driving on a revoked license, a stop sign violation, a basic speed violation, and first-offense DUI.
  • A 34-year-old Carson City man for domestic battery.
  • A 19-year-old Fernley woman for a failure to appear traffic warrant in her name.
  • A 49-year-old Carson City man for a contempt of court warrant in his name.

All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty.
