Carson City man jailed on felony warrant for being a sex offender failing to change address

A Carson City man turned himself into authorities Wednesday for an outstanding felony warrant, being a sex offender failing to change his address, issued out of Churchill County.

David Alan Wilson II, 30, turned himself into the front counter of the Carson City Sheriff's Office at 12:35 p.m. on the warrant service confirmed out of New River Township Justice Court as a sex offender failing to change address. Bail is $25,000 bondable. He was taken into custody without incident.

In other arrests:

— A 23-year-old Carson CIty man faces a misdemeanor domestic battery charge after being arrested Wednesday, 7:21 p.m. in the 900 block of Stafford Way.

According to the arrest report, officers were dispatched to the residence for domestic battery. Upon arrival officers met with a woman who told officers she got a text message from her son stating he was beaten up by her other son.

Officers spoke with the 23-year-old who said that for the past two days he had been arguing with the victim regarding the residence they both live at. He said the argument was over a shower that connects to his brother's room, the arrest report states.

The suspect said he went into his brother's room to use the shower and they started arguing. The suspect said he was going to beat up his brother if he did not chill out, the arrest report states.

The victim "did not chill out" man said, so "I tried to smack him." The victim dodged the strike and attempted to tackle his brother. The suspect said he saw a folding knife tucked in the back of his brother's pants.

"I got really mad and started punching him in the legs, arms and back," the 23-year-old told officers, adding that he continued to punch his brother "until he quit being crazy."

The victim left the area after the incident. The mother called her son and asked him to return. Officers spoke with the victim who said his brother tried to strike him and he attempted to tackle him.

The 23-year-old then struck the brother several times in the body, the victim told officers. The brother stated the suspect struck him in the eye and pointed officers to his left eye, which officers could see the beginning of a black eye. Officers determined the 23-year-old to be the primary aggressor. Bail: $3,137.

— A 29-year-old transient was arrested Wednesday, Sept. 18, 3:20 p.m. in the 3200 block of Imperial Way. He faces a charge of contempt of court, failure to pay fines. Bail: $770.

Those arrested and facing charges are innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
