Carson City Sheriff's Deputies made several arrests throughout Monday. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Timothy "Tim" Loyis Seay, 49, an unemployed laborer from Winnemucca, was arrested at approximately 10:30 a.m. Monday morning on two counts of felony possession of stolen property, after receiving a report about a possible mental patient at the Nevada Supreme Court. Seay allegedly used a stolen van as an escape vehicle following what he claimed was a theft at a mining site that he had witnessed, as well as using stolen credit cards to purchase gas and food en route from Winnemucca to Carson City. Bail was set at $50,000.
At 4:17 p.m. Monday afternoon, deputies arrested Duke Edward Maita, 40, a Carson City resident, on a felony failure to appear after bail warrant out of Washoe County. Bail was set at $15,000.
Carlo Ariel Michael, 20, an unemployed Carson City office manager, turned himself in at the Carson City Jail on a misdemeanor failure to appear warrant out of Reno, and was additionally arrested on a felony probation violation warrant. No bail was set on the probation violation offense.
At 10:13 p.m. Monday night, deputies pulled over a black Mazda sedan for malfunctioning taillights. The passenger was Jose Saucedo-Holmeda, 48, a salesman from Sparks. Upon running his credentials, deputies discovered that he had a felony warrant out for his arrest. Saucedo-Holmeda had allegedly written bad checks in Sparks. Bail was set at $1,500. The driver of the sedan was let go with a warning.
At around 11:30 p.m. Monday deputies pulled over a blue Chevy Blazer for having false license plates. The driver, Bryan Neddenriep, 22, an unemployed Carson City resident, stated that the vehicle was not his but that the owner had just registered the vehicle for another year. Deputies smelled strange odors throughout the vehicle and requested a K-9 unit. The deputies discovered a glass pipe, a scale, a marijuana pipe, and small baggies of what they suspected were marijuana and methamphetamines. Neddenriep admitted to the marijuana but stated that the methamphetamines were not his. Deputies also discovered a gun that was checked and discovered to be legal. Neddenriep was arrested for felony possession of methamphetamines, three misdemeanor counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, misdemeanor possession of marijuana, and misdemeanor fictitious registration. Bail was set at $6,150.
