Carson City authorities have arrested four people on multiple drug charges, including two arrests for alleged felony heroin possession.
Authorities assigned to the Carson City Sheriff's Office Special Enforcement Team had gleaned information on Thursday that several alleged known heroin users were hiding at a home in the 2800 block of Airport Road in Carson City.
Christopher Moceri, 20, and Christopher Robert Bechtold, 23, each face felony heroin possession charges. Meanwhile, Todd Anthony Martin, 29, faces gross misdemeanor and misdemeanor drug charges, and Emily Dawn Scott, 19, faces drug possession and outstanding warrant charges.
At about 5:45 p.m. deputies and an officer from Alternative Sentencing went to the home. As they were walking up to the south side of the residence, a shirtless man, identified as Moceri, ran from a fifth-wheel RV trailer to the back of the home. He was later found hiding in the garage and was detained, according to the report.
Meanwhile, deputies knocked on the door, which opened with the knock, and officers heard someone inside and a door close. After knocking again and ringing the door bell, Anthony Martin answered and allowed deputies inside. He stated it was only he and his girlfriend in the house. Another deputy went inside the home after Martin gave officers permission to look around the house, according to the report.
Scott was found hiding in the bathroom and was taken into custody on a warrant for her arrest. Alternative Sentencing Officer Ryba searched Scott's vehicle and found a heroin pipe and an empty heroin balloon, according to the arrest report.
Martin told authorities that no one else was on the property and that no one lived in the fifth-wheel RV and gave deputies permission to search the RV. An arresting deputy went into the air-condition RV where he had saw Moceri run from, according to the arrest report. The arresting officer opened the door of the RV announced announced who he was. As he entered, a shirtless man, identified as Christopher Bechtold, was on the back bed and attempted to hide, according to the arrest report. He was detained and handcuffed.
Martin stated he lived in the house with his great-grandmother. He stated he could not keep all the drug users from hiding in his house. During the interview, the great-grandmother came home and she gave officers permission to search the property including the house and RV. The grandmother stated to officers that no one was allowed in the RV but that Martin and other people "keep breaking into it," according to the report.
Inside the RV, in plain view on top of a night stand on the right side of the bed where Bechtold had been laying, deputies found a rolled up plastic bag with a small yellow balloon which appeared to hold heroin and a clear pipe with brown residue that is commonly used to smoke heroin, according to the arrest report. Also on the night stand was an inmate letter to Emily Scott and two condoms, according to the report.
Plugged into power on the left night stand was a cell phone which Moceri claimed was his. In the left night stand was a hypodermic needle. Moceri's clothes were at the bottom of the bed and his court documents were on the table in the RV, according to the arrest report. Also on the table deputies found an unbroken ampule of Lidocaine, a cocaine-based localized numbing agent commonly stolen from hospital emergency rooms.
In a drawer in the living area of the RV deputies found a pipe made from foil used to smoke marijuana. Moceri and Bechtold were arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, the arrest report stated.
Later at the jail, deputies opened the yellow balloon and found a brown tar substance that appeared to be heroin.
Deputies spoke with Martin in the living room with his great-grandmother. He admitted to using methamphetamine in the last week but denied having any drugs or paraphernalia, according to the arrest report. Authorities then asked him permission to search his bedroom for drugs. He gave his consent as did his great-grandmother.
In a night stand on the right side of Martin's bed authorities found a small black plastic tube which had a white crystal powder inside of it. On top of the night stand were two small prescription pills that were identified as BUSPAR, an anti-anxiety prescription medication, for which Martin did not have a prescription, according to the report.
Under the bed authorities found a clear plastic tube which also had a white crystal residue in it. The black tube and clear tube fit together and it appeared it was used to attach to a methamphetamine pipe or bong. Tests run on the substances in both tubes came back positive for methamphetamine, according to the arrest report.
