Two inmates in the Carson City jail were booked on additional felony charges. A criminal complaint by the Nevada Attorney General's Office was filed July 31 for Jacob Centimano. It alleges battery and possession a dangerous weapon while in jail. The charges were brought to the Carson City Jail booking staff on Aug. 19.
Meanwhile, a 27-year-old Carson City woman in jail had a felony charge, failure to appear, added to the list of alleged crimes committed by her. Shandee Lyn Ford had a warrant for her arrest, dated Aug. 12, 2013, for possession of a controlled substance. The charges were brought to booking staff on Aug. 20.
In misdemeanor-related arrests:
— A 24-year-old Carson City man was arrested early Wednesday morning and faces numerous misdemeanor charges including driving under the influence. The man was stopped near the intersection of College Parkway and Otha at 2:43 a.m.
According to the arrest report, the driver did not stop as was directed while traveling westbound on College Parkway. The vehicle was occupied by two. Both were taken out of the vehicle. Officers observed an opened 12 pack of Budweiser beer on the floorboard of the passenger seat. A warrant check was run on both motorists and both had revoked driver's license status.
Officers could smell an overwhelming odor of alcoholic beverage coming from the driver, as well as having slurred speech and red watery eyes, the arrest report states. The driver agreed to participate in field sobriety tests.
He provided two breath samples with results of .164 and .166. He faces the DUI charge as well as failure to dim headlights, violation of conditions, no proof of insurance and driving on a suspended or revoked license. Bail: $5,583.
— A 22-year-old Carson City man with a misdemeanor warrant for his arrest, turned himself into authorities Aug. 20, 6:42 p.m. The warrant was for possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail: $1,000.
— A 19-year-old Carson City woman was arrested at 7:31 p.m., Aug. 20 at a grocery store in the 3700 block of South Carson Street. She faces a misdemeanor charge of petit larceny after allegedly putting a can of cat food in her purse and ordering a large container of pasta salad and a sandwich and then leaving the grocery store without paying. Bail: $347.
— A 49-year-old Carson City man was arrested Aug. 19, 3:09 p.m. in the 100 block of South Harbin Street. He faces a misdemeanor charge of being in violation of a suspended sentence.
Those arrested and facing charges are innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
