Officers arrested Craig Lawley, 25, an unemployed man from South Lake Tahoe, at 6 p.m. Wednesday for felony possession of heroin and felony possession of prescription notepads. Lawley was also arrested for four alleged misdemeanors - possession of stolen property, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, and a first-time driving under the influence.

Officers were dispatched to the area near South Carson and Highway 50 West, after a report was called in about a vehicle hitting a guard rail and failing to maintain it's lane. When the deputies pulled Lawley over in the parking lot near Carl's Jr., they discovered several hypodermic needles, a marijuana cigarette, and a spoon with residue on it. They also discovered several prescription notepads from a doctor at South Lake Tahoe. Investigation revealed that the items had been reported stolen.

The deputies administered a field sobriety test, which Lawley failed. Bail was set at $8,600 plus administrative fees.

Just prior to this, a 40-year-old Carson City woman was arrested at Woodside Drive for misdemeanor obstructing an officer and misdemeanor disorderly conduct. Deputies responded to a call for what appeared to be a fight and detained one male subject for questioning. A woman, highly intoxicated, began interrupting the investigation and when told to leave, told officers that the only way to force her to leave would be to arrest her. When she was finally arrested, she had interrupted the officers approximately ten times.
