A Carson City man has been sentenced to prison for felony drug trafficking and domestic violence.
District Judge James Wilson sentenced Rudolph, Delavega, 39, to 36 to 120 months in prison for trafficking in a controlled substance and to a consecutive prison term of 19 to 48 months for felony domestic violence, according to a press statement from the Carson City District Attorney's Office.
Delavega, 39, sold 27.7 grams of methamphetamine to an undercover narcotics agent in March.
The domestic violence charge arose from a Jan. 24 incident in which he beat his girlfriend.  It was his third domestic violence conviction in seven years, making it a felony in Nevada.
Delavega had a long criminal history before arriving in Carson City.  In 1998, he was convicted of narcotics sales and aggravated assault in Phoenix, Ariz., receiving a four-year prison term.
In 2001, also in Phoenix, he was convicted of forgery and sentenced to 30 months imprisonment.  In 2007, he was convicted of possession of a stolen vehicle in Reno and received a 12 to 48 month prison term.
Delavega must serve a minimum of 55 months before parole eligibility.
