A 29-year-old Carson City man was arrested Thursday and faces a felony warrant charge of fraudulent use of a credit card and misdemeanor violation of a suspended sentence. George Joseph Gillespie was arrested in the 600 block of Hot Springs Road at 10:16 p.m.
According to the arrests report, the felony warrant was issued Oct. 7, 2013 out of Carson City Justice Court. The misdemeanor warrant was issued Sept. 12, 2013. Bail: $6,000.

According to the arrest report, officers stopped the man for riding his bike southbound in the northbound lane. The man began to yell at the officer, flung his glove off and reached into his waistband while getting off his bike. The officer put him at gunpoint where he continued to move and refused to drop what was in his hand. The man then dropped a cell phone, the arrest report states.
In the search of the man officers found a bottle of pills, hydrocodone and lorazepam, both pills are controlled substances available by prescription only. Getchell did not have a prescription for either on him or in the bottle. Bail: $5,474.
— A 33-year-old Carson City man was arrested Thursday, 4:28 p.m. in the 1000 block of Armory Lane. Nathaniel Raymond Partlow faces a felony warrant charge of burglary issued Oct. 2, 2013 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $15,000.
— A Carson City man was arrested Thursday faces a felony charge of failing to register as a sex offender.
Eric Nathan Simmons was arrested at 8:55 p.m. in the 4200 block of Furgerson Ranch Road. According to the arrest report, the Carson City Sheriff's Office received information that Simmons was living at the address but last registered with the sheriff's office on Jan. 11, 2013. He last registered in the 2000 block of Southridge Drive and hasn't registered since, the arrest report states.
A deputy went to the Furgerson address and spoke with the occupants to determine if the man had been living at the home. As the officer was preparing to leave, Simmons arrived in a vehicle with a friend, the arrest report states.
The deputy asked to speak with him and he agreed. The deputy asked if he lived at the Southridge Court address and the man said he wasn't. He was asked if he was living at the Fergerson Ranch address and he said he was. Officers asked him for how long and Simmons stated he had been living at the address since July, the arrest report states.
The deputy asked him if he attempted to update his address with the sheriff's office as required by law. He said he did not know it was the law. He was carrying his sex offender registration card which states on the back he is required to register within 48 hours. He was taken into custody without incident. Bail: $5,000.
Those arrested and facing charges are innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
