A married couple from Lucerne, Calif. was arrested Saturday morning in 3800 block of South Carson Street for misdemeanor drug offenses, in an incident that began with the alleged theft of a jacket from a casino.
According to the arrest report, casino security said the 48-year-old woman subject had put her jacket on top of another, and picked them both up and left the casino. While investigating this incident, deputies found marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the couple's room. Both subjects were arrested for misdemeanor petit larceny, possession of one ounce or less of marijuana, possession of a hypodermic device and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia. The 47-year-old male subject was also arrested for gross misdemeanor possession of stolen property. His bail was set at $6,475, and his wife's bail was set at $3,975.

- On Sunday afternoon, deputies arrested John Joseph Kittel, 27 in the 1200 block of Palo Verde Drive, for felony domestic battery, second offense. According to the arrest report, the subject admitted to shoving his estranged wife to the ground during an argument. His bail was set at $5,000.
- There was a report of a strong-arm robbery at the top of Sugarloaf Hill. The reporting party said she was sitting in her vehicle when two male subjects pulled her out of the vehicle by her hair, punched her in the face two times and demanded money. The subjects reportedly took her wallet with money and credit cards. Deputies could not locate the subjects.
- Sean Crawford, 43, was transported from Douglas County to the Carson City Jail Sunday night on a felony warrant for unlawful taking of a motor vehicle. His bail was set at $2,500.
- In Douglas County, a body was found hanging in James Lee Park in Indian Hills. It was determined that the 25-year-old man committed suicide.
