A Carson City man faces a felony assault charge after he had a fight with his girlfriend and allegedly grabbed her by the neck and bit her on the chin.
Jesus Atan-Lopez, 31, was arrested at around 10 p.m. in the 3300 block of Carson Street. His bail was set at $5,000.
According to the arrest report, officers were dispatched to the apartment complex on a call of domestic battery in progress. According to the report, Antan-Lopez was sitting on the south side of the building. The officer asked him what happened and the man replied: "The bitch didn't want to give me my money or phone," the arrest report stated.
Deputies then spoke with the victim and her friend who was present during the confrontation. The victim said she and her boyfriend began fighting about their relationship and finances. She said while talking to him, he became upset and bit her in the chin, according to the report She said she started yelling and him, and then he took his left hand and grabbed her by the neck. The woman stated Antan-Lopez pushed her against the wall and held her there but that she was able to push him away, break free and she ran inside an apartment, the report states.
The victim's friend who was present confirmed the story and its similarities.
The man was arrested, taken to jail and booked on the single domestic battery charge.

Fruth reportedly became upset when another man in the room changed the television channel. Fruth responded by spitting in the man's face, according to the report.
