At around 10 p.m. Wednesday evening, Carson City Sheriff's officers arrested Corey Allan Madieros, 19, a construction worker from Gardnerville, near the 1300 block of South Carson Street. Madieros was arrested for a Parole and Probation violation; no bail was set.

Deputies arrested Franklin Trevino, 40, a landscaper from Carson City, at around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday night, near the corners of Carson Street and Koontz Lane. Trevino was arrested for a misdemeanor seatbelt violation, a misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor violation of bail conditions, and a felony possession of unprescribed prescription drugs. During a routine traffic stop, in which Trevino was the passenger, a K-9 unit discovered a glass pipe, a marijuana pipe, a scale, and a metal grinder, all of which purportedly belonged to Trevino. When Trevino arrived at the detention facility, he admitted to having on his person the prescription drug buspirone hydrochloride (Trade name: Buspar, an anti-anxiety medication), which he did not have a prescription for. Bail was set at $6,525 plus administrative costs.
