At approximately 8 a.m. Monday morning, an officer accepted Omar Segura-Hernandez, 28, a Carson City resident, into the Carson City Detention Facility on Musser St. Segura-Hernandez was originally arrested for a felony failure to appear warrant issued in his name. Upon arrival at the detention facility, the booking officer accessed Segura-Hernandez' records and discovered a felony US Marshall hold for felon in possession of a firearm and a misdemeanor NHP failure to appear for a traffic violation hold. Both felony charges carry no bail.
Members of the Tri-County Gang Unit arrived at a private residence in the 2200 block of South Lompa Lane at approximately 9:30 p.m. Tuesday night to serve a search warrant, leading to the arrest of Thomas Granville "Tommy Guns" Garretson, 63, a Carson City property owner, at approximately 3:30 a.m. Wednesday. Garretson was arrested for felony possession of a short barreled rifle (sawed off); felony changing, altering, removing, or obliterating the serialnumber of a firearm; misdemeanor posession of less than one ounce of marijuana; misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and misdemeanor violation of bail conditions. Bail is set at $19,500 plus administrative fees.
