Two Carson City women each face felony burglary charges after allegedly being inside a Les Schwab Tire store after it had closed and then were witnessed running from the business and jumping a fence.
Nancie Marie Turner, 31, and Lori Lynn Stephens, 40, are each being held on $50,000 bail and face charges of burglary and intent to burglarize.
According to the arrest report, deputies were called Thursday to the 3200 block of North Carson Street at around 8 p.m. Dispatch told officers that two subjects were seen running out of the back door of the business. Both suspects had reportedly jumped over a fence to the rear of the business and dodged into an apartment complex.

Officers detained Turner, who matched the description by two witnesses — an employee of the store and the employee's mother. The employee told deputies that he had entered the store through the north door and found the door was unlocked and the alarm had not been set. The employee said he believed the cleaning crew had left the north door to the store unlocked, the report stated.
He said while inside the store he heard a noise and then heard what sounded like the east side of the store back door slam. He said he ran to the back door, opened it up and looked out, observing two subjects running southbound through the rear lot. The witness said the two subjects jumped over a fence to the 3200 block of Imperial Way, according to the arrest report.
The employee's mother said her son had entered the store through the north door. She said while sitting in her truck parked toward the back of the store, she observed the back door of the store open and observed two people exit and run southbound through the rear lot of the store and jumped over a fence, the report stated. The witness said she yelled to her son to call 911, and attempted to run after the two subjects. She positively identified Turner as being the second subject that was observed exiting and running from the rear door of the business.
During the interview with the witnesses, a second deputy began walking toward 3300 Imperial Way and located the second suspect on the second floor walkway, the report stated. The deputy said Stephens appeared to be peeking around a corner and watching. The deputy detained Stephens, who was identified by the witnesses as the second person seen running from the business.
Both women were given their Miranda rights and both said they didn't want to talk. The women were taken into custody and booked into the Carson City Jail.

— Those arrested are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
