Terry Wayne Spence, 56, and Jeffery Dwayne Bainbridge, 45, were arrested Wednesday evening at their hotel room in the 600 block of Stewart Street in Carson City for possession of methamphetamine.
Deputies assigned to the Special Enforcement Team responding to a report of drug activity went the the suspects' hotel room, and through the open door saw evidence of drug use. After Spence told the deputies to leave, Bainbridge agreed to step outside. Deputies noticed that he was fidgeting, and saw him toss a hypodermic needle to the ground. A search of his pockets found a baggie with a small amount of white crystal substance suspected to be methamphetamine.
Deputies obtained a search warrant for the room and found a small amount of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
Spence was arrested for felony possession of a controlled substance, and bail was set at $2,500. Bainbridge was also arrested for felony possession of a controlled substance, along with misdemeanor possession of a hypodermic needle and drug paraphernalia. His bail was set at $3,500.
All suspects who are arrested are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
