Carson City man arrested after failing to registered as sex offender

A Carson City man face a felony charge of failing to register as a sex offender and was arrested on Monday.

Albert Franklin O'Neal Jr., 35, had been living in a trailer on a ranch in the 7100 block of Schulz Drive for more than three weeks and had not registered in Carson City, according to the arrest report.

The trailer where O'Neal was living in was east of the main residence where he had been recently hired to work doing maintenance as an independent contractor, the report stated.

O'Neal is a registered Tier 2 sex offender from Los Angeles, convicted in 1996 and his last registration was in Reno.

The ranch where he had been working and residing was also a business that teaches children how to ride horses, and the property is frequently visited by children, the arrest report stated.

An unemployed Carson City man faces felony drug and misdemeanor stalking, threats and weapons charges after allegedly chasing his former girlfriend through residential neighborhoods.

Adrian Munoz, 24, was arrested in the 3200 block of Market Street at around midnight on Monday.

According to the arrest report, police dispatch received a call from a woman who said Munoz was chasing her in his vehicle in the North Ridge subdivision area and feared for her safety. The woman spoke with deputies at a nearby Quick Stop and Munoz was located later at Walmart.

The woman told authorities that she and Munoz have a child together and that they recently had broken up. She told authorities that Munoz had been making threats against her life, telling her that if he can't be with her, nobody can and that she had better watch out, according to the arrest report.

The woman told authorities that Munoz had been stalking her and that when she left a pub on Long Street, he was sitting outside waiting for her in his vehicle. The woman said that Munoz tried to scare the woman by accelerating and following her, traveling through residential neighborhoods in excess of 60 mph. As she would speed up, he would be right behind her near her bumper, she told authorities.

Munoz was found and arrested on suspicion of reckless driving, stalking and threats charges. During an inventory of his vehicle, officers found a billy club type weapon located in the passenger seat and two pills — Oxycodone and Hydrocodone in the driver's door handle void. He was also charged with being in possession of a dangerous weapon, which is a gross misdemeanor, and two felony drug possession charges for not having a prescription. Bail was set at $24,879.

— A Carson City man faces various misdemeanor charges after a fight at a local bar. Officers arrested the man after he had become beligerent with officers, obstructing in an investigation regarding a fight. The man reportedly got in an officers face, and said "What are you gonna do son? F*** you. I'll kick your a**." He was booked on disorderly obstructing and assault charges. Bail was set at $3,144.
