A truck with a suspended registration led to the arrest of a Dayton man for felony possession of more than one ounce of marijuana.
Spencer Angil Davidson, 35, of Dayton, was arrested Thursday evening near the intersection of Plaza and East Telegraph after a Carson City Sheriff's deputy spotted him driving a truck with suspended registration. According to the arrest report, after stopping the vehicle the deputy found that Davidson's drivers license was also suspended, and he had a warrant out of Union Township, Nev. for failure to appear on a previous traffic offense. The deputy then took Davidson into custody.
After the vehicle was impounded, a search found a baggie with 1.2 ounces of marijuana, a glass pipe used the smoke it, a partially full can of beer in the center console within reach of the driver, and a 9mm handgun concealed from view next to the driver's seat.
Davidson was arrested for felony possession of marijuana, gross misdemeanor carrying a concealed weapon, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, misdemeanor open container in vehicle, and misdemeanor driving on a suspended license and suspended registration. Bail was set at $7,058.

Julie Ann Asbury, 23, of Carson City, was arrested Thursday morning in the 2700 block of South Carson Street for felony burglary. According to the arrest report, Asbury told deputies that she broke into the home of a family member and stole items from that residence, as well as taking items from the residences of other family members and friends. She said she intended to sell the items in order to buy methamphetamine. Her bail was set at $25,000.
