A woman who had a contempt of court warrant for her arrest faces a felony charge of providing false identification to Carson City authorities.
Nelletta Darlene Harris, 47, was arrested Friday in the 2500 block of Lorraine Street. She is being held on $25,000 bail. The arrest came after officers responded to a home where a fight had happened between two men.
Officers were advised that a woman inside the home had been screaming during the fight. When they went inside the home to check identifications, Harris told the officers her name was "Denise" and that she had an Oklahoma driver's license and didn't know her Social Security number, according to the arrest report.
A man who said the woman was her boyfriend told authorities his girlfriend was Nelletta Harris but then corrected himself and said her name was Denise, according to the arrest report.
The woman provided the name of a real person living in Oklahoma to avoid being arrested, a felony. Harris was arrested on this charge, obstructing, as well as a confirmed 2008 warrant out of Carson City Justice Court.
