Carson City Sheriff's Office arrest log for Thursday

A 50-year-old Sacramento man, Timothy Eric Seibel, was arrested Wednesday, 2:56 p.m. in the 3300 block of East Fifth Street on a felony parole violation charge, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said. He is being held without bail until a court hearing.

In other arrests: A 33-year-old Carson City man was arrested Thursday, 2:19 a.m. in the 900 block of South Carson Street on the following misdemeanor charges: Possession of drug paraphernalia, driving on a suspended license, no valid insurance, and two counts violation of a suspended sentence.

According to the arrest report, an officer was in the parking lot of a gas station in the 1400 block of Carson Street when he noticed a vehicle pass by without functioning tail lamps. The officer initiated a stop, met with the driver and explained the reason for the traffic stop. The officer asked for the man’s license, registration and insurance. The man could not provide the officer with a current insurance document.

The officer ran a check on the man through dispatch and learned his license status through DMV had been suspended. During the stop the officer noticed the man had a police scanner in his lap and was holding a flashlight. He was advised about his license being suspended and was asked about drugs in his vehicle or on him.

The man denied he had any drugs on him and was issued a citation for his violations and was released from the stop with the vehicle to be towed. Afterward, the man then walked up to the officers and asked for property from his vehicle, including a basket with a red pouch. Inside the pouch officers discovered a pipe with suspected methamphetamine on it. The man had prior arrests and was on Alternative Sentencing with the condition to obey all laws. He was arrested. Bail: $4,066.

— A 26-year-old Kings Beach, Calif., man was arrested Wednesday, 3:35 a.m. in the 2000 block of East William Street on a misdemeanor DUI charge. According to the arrest report, officers were dispatched to the area in reference to an intoxicated driver in a vehicle. Dispatch advised they had received calls about the vehicle being all over the highway. The vehicle was stopped by Capital City Patrol. The officer stated the driver was failing to maintain its lane of travel on Highway 50 East. As the vehicle pulled into a casino, it nearly struck parked cars in the parking lot, the arrest report states.

A Carson City Sheriff’s Office deputy made contact with the man who was sitting on a bench by the casino entrance. He had red, watery eyes, slurred speech and smelled strongly of alcohol. The man stated he had been consuming beer earlier in the evening. The man agreed to participate in field sobriety tests, where officers noticed six clues of possible impairment. The man provided a breath test with a sample of .205. He was arrested on suspicion of DUI and taken to jail where he provided three breath samples resulting in counts of .220, .195 and .194. Bail: $1,132.

Those arrested and facing charges are innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
