David Scott Illig, 24, was arrested Saturday night in the 5600 block of South Carson Street after the Carson City Sheriff's Special Enforcement Team allegedly made two controlled purchases of heroin from him through a cooperating source.
According to the arrest report, the source made the first purchase of two points (1/10th of a gram) of heroin from Illig in parking lot in the 3500 block of North Carson Street. Later the same day the source made another purchase from the suspect in the 700 block of Old Clear Creek Road. Following the second transaction, deputies performed a traffic stop on the vehicle driven by Illig. According to the report, the suspect was found to have five additional points of heroin, .2 grams of a substance thought to be cocaine and drug paraphernalia on his person.
Illig was placed under arrest for felony sale of a controlled substance (two counts), felony conspiracy to violate Controlled Substances Act, felony possession of a heroin, felony possession of cocaine, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $21,132.
