Carson City deputies arrested Charles Muscott, 31, in the 1000 block of South Carson Street Thursday morning after a woman reported that the suspect was using her credit card to pay for his motel bill.
Deputies went to the motel and learned that someone posing as the card holder had called in twice to pay for a total of four nights stay for the suspect. The number the caller left belonged to Muscott. Deputies found Muscott in his room, and he claimed a friend named Shane had called to rent the room with his credit card. But a search of Muscott's belongings uncovered a credit card authorization slip belonging to the victim, whose name wasn't Shane.
Muscott was arrested for fraudulent use of a credit card and possession of stolen property, both felonies. Bail was set at $25,000.

—Jessica Vanderdoes, 20, was arrested Wednesday in the 2900 block of Menlo Drive for felony Grand Larceny and a misdemeanor contempt of court warrant after her mother accused the daughter of stealing electronic devices from her home while she was out of town. Bail was set at $25,240.
—Aaron Brinkhous, 26, was arrested Thursday on a felony fugitive from justice warrant out of Texas, and a misdemeanor failure to appear warrant out of Dayton. He was held without bail.
—Jessy Lee Richards, 30, was arrested Thursday on a felony fugitive from justice warrant out of Lassen County, Calif. He was held without bail.
