A 53-year-old man was arrested Thursday for suspected felony possession of a stolen vehicle, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.
Anthony George Athens, of Placerville, Calif., was taken into custody at 10:55 p.m. in the 2100 block of East William Street. The crime happened at around 8:30 a.m. in the 2700 block of Menlo Drive, according to the arrest report. Bail: $25,000.

According to the arrest report, deputies were dispatched to the area in reference to a domestic battery and spoke with the male victim who said his girlfriend had been drinking, which turned into an argument over the victim’s ex-wife. The suspect allegedly hit and scratched the male victim during the argument.
A deputy observed multiple scratches on the man’s face and arms and a small amount of blood on his wounds. The victim also had a moderate amount of red and blue discoloration on his bicep, the report states.
The victim told deputies the woman was inside and passed out. He gave deputies permission to enter the home and the key to get inside. Officers went up a room to make contact, and knocked several times, asking that she open the door. She was uncooperative and would not.
A deputy then attempted to open the door however the woman had pushed a small refrigerator against the door. The officer again asked her to open the door. The woman refused and the officer opened it, and she began to resist arrest. She also made threatening statements such deputies would “regret this” and “I know who you are and know your kids,” the arrest report states.
She was booked for suspicion of obstructing an officer and domestic battery. Bail: $3,549.
— A 22-year-old Imlay, Nev., man was booked at Carson City Jail on Thursday, 9:30 a.m. for a misdemeanor violation of suspended sentence warrant issued Nov. 2, 2017 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $1,000.
