Carson City arrests: Man hiding in bushes found by deputy on motorcycle

A 35-year-old Carson City man was arrested Wednesday for misdemeanor suspicion of obstructing arrest, and a misdemeanor warrant after he was found hiding in bushes by a Carson City Sheriff's Office motor patrol deputy.

According to the arrest report, Carson City sheriff's deputies were called at 12:32 p.m. to the scene of a vehicle accident in the area of College Parkway and Market Street. Dispatch advised a man got out of one of the vehicles involved in the crash and ran away.

Carson City Fire Department was on scene and witnessed the crash. Carson City Sheriff’s Office Motor Patrol deputies arrived on motorcycles and were advised the man was seen running through a field between Home Depot and Walmart.

A deputy observed the man run south toward Northridge Lane, then ducked down to hide behind some bushes. The officer rode his motorcycle up to the man and ordered him to the ground where he was handcuffed. A check through dispatch confirmed a 2016 probation violation warrant for his arrest issued out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $3,412.

In other arrests:
A 30-year-old Mound House woman was arrested Wednesday, 8:16 p.m. for felony suspicion of parole violation, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.
Tiffany Joanne Fracker was wanted by the Department of Parole and Probation for being a priority 5 parole absconder. She’s being held without bail in lieu of a hearing.

— A 21-year-old Carson City man was arrested Wednesday in the 3200 block of Retail Drive for a misdemeanor criminal contempt warrant issued April 9, 2018 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $500.

— A 24-year-old Carson City man was arrested Wednesday in the area of Nye and Carson streets for misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, (a “tooter” straw, which is a device commonly used to inhale drugs) driving with a suspended registration, driving without a valid driver’s license and no proof of insurance. Bail: $2,148.

— A 25-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Tuesday, 12:11 p.m. in the area of Dan and Roop streets for a misdemeanor contempt of court warrant issued April 10, 2018 out of Sparks Municipal Court. Bail: $370.

— A 36-year-old Coleville, Calif., man was arrested Tuesday, 6:02 p.m. in the 1700 block of East William Street for misdemeanor driving with a revoked license, driving without insurance and a stop sign violation. Bail: $1,486.
