A 61-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Wednesday in the 3100 block of Douglas Drive for misdemeanor suspicion of DUI, and failure to maintain a single lane of traffic, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.
According to the arrest report, deputies responded to a traffic crash in which a woman ran into a parked car. A deputy spoke with the driver. The woman was slow to answer questions and was not able to focus, the report states.
The driver told the deputy she had recently had surgery on her wrist, which was bandaged up. When the deputy asked the woman what happened she told him she dropped something while driving, went to reach for it and swerved off the road.
The deputy observed the woman’s speech was thick and delayed, and walked with a sway and not in a straight line. The officer asked the woman if she was taking any prescription medication.
The woman said she was taking several medications but was unable to name them, the report states. She agreed to field sobriety tests and showed signs of impairment. She was arrested for suspicion of DUI and failure to maintain a lane of traffic. Bail: $1,224.
— A 44-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Thursday, 8:06 p.m. for a misdemeanor contempt of court warrant issued April 18, 2018 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $3,000.
— A 59-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Thursday, 4:07 p.m. in the 2100 block of East William Street for a misdemeanor failure to appear in traffic court warrant issued April 10, 2018 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $230.
