A 28 year-old Carson City woman was arrested early Saturday morning at 4:20 a.m. in the 500 block of North Carson Street on misdemeanor first offense domestic battery after kicking and striking a male companion with her shoes, a Carson City Sheriff's deputy reported.
According to the arrest report, a Sheriff's deputy was dispatched to the area reference to a domestic dispute between a male and a female from inside of a business. The female subject was reported to be running from the scene, dispatch reported.
Upon arrival, the deputy spoke with security, which reported a couple had been fighting inside of the business and then proceeded to leave and walk toward a parking lot.
Security reported that the female subject had hit the male over the head with her shoes and also kicked him, the report said.
Subjects matching the descriptions were located by the deputy, who made contact with them. The male subject was observed to have bruising and an open wound on the right side of his forehead.
Both the male and the female were observed to be visibly intoxicated, the report said, and smelled heavily of alcohol.
The male reported the couple began to argue due to their intoxication. He also reported that the injury to his forehead was caused by running into someone as the couple left the business and he fell on the ground, the report said.
Additional deputies on scene gathered statements from witnesses who corroborated security's report that the female had battered the male.
But when law enforcement informed the couple that the female was going to be arrested, they became irate. The male placed his arm between the officer and the woman, the report said, but other deputies at the scene gained control of him.
The woman started crying and became limp as law enforcement attempted to arrest her. She resisted efforts to help her get to her feet by throwing herself to the ground, the report said.
She resited further, the report said, but the deputy was able to gain control over the suspect and secure her in handcuffs. The woman remained uncooperative, kicking and fighting as she was placed in the patrol vehicle.
The woman was transported to the Carson City Jail, where she remained uncooperative and resisted law enforcement at booking. She was placed in a safety cell. Bail: $3,000.

— A 37 year-old Carson City man was arrested early Saturday morning at 4:14 a.m. in the area of U.S. Highway 50 and Interstate 580 on misdemeanor first offense driving under the influence (DUI) alcohol, a Carson City Sheriff's deputy reported.
According to the report, a patrolling Sheriff's deputy noted a pickup truck parked on the concrete median dividing northbound on ramps to I-580 on the north side of Highway 50.
The deputy performed a disabled vehicle citizen's assist and made contact with the driver, who smelled of alcohol and exhibited red, watery eyes as well as thick, slurred speech.
When asked how his vehicle came to rest on the concrete median, the suspect said he had driven his vehicle onto it while on his way home and parked there in an effort to find his cell phone, which had fallen between the seats.
The vehicle engine was running and its tires were warm to the touch, the report said.
"I know I'm drunk, I'm not gonna lie," the suspect said. "I had a lot of drinks tonight, I'm just trying to get home."
He consented to field sobriety testing (FST) which showed signs of impairment. A preliminary breath test (PBT) was also consented, the report said, and yielded a result of .171 percent breath alcohol content (BAC).
The suspect was handcuffed and transported to the Carson City Jail for booking. Bail: $1,000.
— A 28 year-old Dayton man was arrested late Friday night at 11:12 p.m. in the area of Long and Roop streets on multiple misdemeanor offenses, a Carson City Sheriff's deputy reported, including second offense DUI alcohol, open alcohol container, failing to stop and speeding.
According to the arrest report, a traffic stop was made on the vehicle the suspect was driving after it had failed to stop at a posted stop sign and speeding in the area.
Law enforcement made contact with all of the vehicle occupants, who admitted to have been drinking and appeared intoxicated. The driver was identified and an odor of alcohol could be smelled coming from him, the report said.
He also exhibited red, watery eyes and slurred speech. The suspect refused to submit to FSTs or a PBT. He was handcuffed and transported to the Carson City Jail for booking. Bail: $2,500.
— A 39 year-old transient man was arrested early Saturday morning at 2:10 a.m. in the 600 block of John Street for misdemeanor disorderly conduct and violation of a suspended sentence, a Carson City Sheriff's deputy reported.
According to the arrest report, law enforcement responded to a report of a loud noise heard by area residents that sounded like someone was attempting to break in to a nearby business.
Once on scene, a Sheriff's deputy noted a white camper shell in a driveway. Shining his flashlight under the camper shell, the deputy observed someone sleeping underneath it.
The subject was ordered out from under the camper shell and he awoke to the sound of the deputy's voice, the report said.
He emerged from underneath the camper shell and was placed in handcuffs. Law enforcement recognized the suspect from previous contacts.
The suspect stated he had no where to stay as the warming shelters had closed down and he was trying to sleep. He stated that when he got underneath the camper, he had dropped it, causing the loud banging noise heard by area residents.
A records check through dispatch determined the suspect was currently in the Department of Alternative Sentencing (DAS) system with probation conditions to obey all laws, the report said. DAS requested the suspect be held for violation of suspended sentence.
He was transported to the Carson City Jail for booking. Bail: $1,000.
— A 31 year-old Carson City man was arrested Friday evening at 5:40 p.m. in the area of North Carson and Ann streets for misdemeanor driving while license was revoked for DUI, a Carson City Sheriff's deputy reported.
According to the arrest report, a registration check on the vehicle the suspect was driving came back as suspended and a traffic stop was subsequently made.
The driver reported to the deputy that he did not have his driver's license with him. He was identified by personal information. A records check confirmed a revoked license.
The suspect was then handcuffed and placed in custody. He was transported to the Carson City Jail for booking. Bail: $1,000.
— A 21 year-old man was arrested Friday night at 8:36 p.m. at the Carson City Jail on a felony warrant for attempted lewdness with a child issued, a Carson City Sheriff's deputy reported.
Kyle Sullivan Bryan was currently in custody at the Carson City Jail and had the charges added to his booking once jail staff received the warrant issued by the Carson City Justice Court.
Bryan had originally been charged with the felony offense out of the El Dorado County, CA, Superior Court and was a fugitive from justice of that jurisdiction. Bail: $100,000.
— A 28 year-old Sparks man was arrested at the Carson City Jail early Friday morning at 1:55 a.m. on multiple outstanding felony arrest warrants after being transported from the Washoe County Jail, a Carson City Sheriff's deputy reported.
John Brooks, Jr., was booked in the Carson City Jail on multiple active felony bench warrants issued out of the Carson City Justice Court, including two counts of burglary and five counts of grand larceny less than $3,500.
Brooks also had outstanding felony arrest warrants out of New River Township in Churchill County as well as Canal Township in Lyon County for multiple counts of grand larceny and burglary, respectively. Bail: $45,000.
— A 37 year-old Carson City woman was arrested at the Carson City Jail on Sunday, April 22 at 1 p.m. for an outstanding felony burglary warrant issued out of the Carson City Justice Court, a Carson City Sheriff's deputy reported.
Kassie Lin Brugman was already serving time at the jail when the confirmed burglary warrant was received by jail staff. The charge was added to her booking. Bail: $10,000.
— A 59 year-old Carson City man was arrested Friday morning in the 400 block of East William Street on an active felony bench warrant for assault with a deadly weapon issued out of the Carson City Justice Court, a Carson City Sheriff's deputy said.
Claude Randal Withrow was also taken into custody after he was recognized by a deputy patrolling the area. He had been recognized for prior law enforcement contacts.
A records check of Withrow confirmed two warrants, including the felony assault with a deadly weapon as well as for misdemeanor violation of suspended sentence through the Carson City Justice Court.
He was handcuffed and transported to the Carson City Jail for booking. Bail: $25,000.
— A 34 year-old Carson City man was arrested Friday night at 7:56 p.m. in the 2400 block of Harvest Drive for misdemeanor violation of a suspended sentence through the Carson City Justice Court, a Carson City Sheriff's deputy said.
According to the report, a deputy on patrol received information that a suspect living in an area residence had a warrant issued for his arrest. The suspect was observed to come out of the residence and walk toward a pickup truck, the license plate of which came back registered to the suspect.
The deputy made contact with the suspect and detained him. The warrant was confirmed through dispatch as issued by the Carson City Justice Court.
The suspect was handcuffed and transported to the Carson City Jail for booking. Bail: $3,000.
