On 5-31-18 at 9:39 a.m., Douglas County Sheriff’s Office received a call of a residential burglary that had occurred, and the reporting party had followed the suspect on foot, but lost sight of him in the area of Cherokee and Bucks Road in northern Douglas County.
DCSO Patrol deputies, Investigators, Carson City Sheriff’s Office, and Washoe Tribal Police conducted an extensive search of the area.
The victim of burglary arrived home and reviewed surveillance at the residence, and identified the suspect. The search was called off at around 1 p.m.
The suspected burglar was identified as Taylor Peart, 33, of Carson City.
On Friday morning Carson City Sheriff’s responded to an address in their jurisdiction and arrested Peart on an unrelated felony warrant. A request for an arrest warrant will be submitted to the Douglas County District Attorney’s Office for the residential burglary.
