Carson City man jailed after breaking down door with ax, swinging it at woman

A Carson City man was arrested Sunday and faces a felony charge of assault with a deadly weapon after allegedly breaking down a door with an ax and threatening a woman.

Reymundo Antonio Robles, 39, was arrested in the 800 block of Musser Street. According to the arrest report, officers were dispatched at 10:03 p.m. in reference to a possible domestic battery. The reporting party stated Robles was breaking down the door with an ax.

Deputies arrived on scene and detained Robles. The front door had been forced open by an ax and pieces of the door were scattered around the kitchen. The windshield to a Jeep parked in the driveway was broken. The ax was found on top of the broken windshield, the arrest report states.

Officers spoke with the victim who was scared and shaking. She said Robles had been diagnosed with manic depression and bi-polar disorder and had run out of his medications three days ago. He has been depressed and was posting suicidal comments on his Facebook page, the victim told police.

She said the man then took a rifle, walked outside and told her he wanted her to watch him kill himself. He placed the rifle under his chin and said he was going to shoot himself, the report states. The woman locked the doors to the house and refused to let him in. The man placed the rifle in a vehicle outside and took an ax that was next to the door. He started banging on the windows to get the woman to open the door. He then broke the door open with the ax, the report states.

She was yelling at him to stop and he pretended to swing the ax the woman. She told authorities the he was making a "half swing" at her. She said she was terrified that he was going to hit her with the ax and believed he was going to harm her. She locked herself in the bedroom and called 911. Robles walked outside and waited for deputies, the report states.

Officers recovered the rifle, which was loaded with ammunition. Officers also recovered the ax that was used to break the door and windshield of the Jeep. Both the gun and ax were booked into evidence. Facebook posts and a handwritten note from the man were also taken into evidence. The handwritten note detailed who he wanted his possessions to go to, the report states. There were several other guns in the residence, the arrest report states.

Robles told deputies that he had locked himself out of the house and broke down the door to get inside. He refused to say anything else about the situation, the report states. He was arrested and taken to Carson City Jail where he refused a PBT test. The man was placed on an emergency health hold and booked. Bail: $20,000.

In other felony-related arrests:

Three men were arrested Saturday, 9:43 p.m. in the 700 block of Hot Springs Road and face felony drug charges. Carson City deputies arrested Daniel Moore, 55, Raymond Hirschmugl, 48, and Brandon Peart, 31, for being in possession of methamphetamine.

According to the arrest report, officers with the SET team were dispatched to the Hot Springs Road address after a report was made of a strong odor of marijuana coming from the residence. Upon arrival officers listened at the door and distinctly heard three male voices coming from inside the home. Officers knocked on the door and Moore opened the door slightly. Officers informed him that there was a report of someone smoking marijuana at the home and asked to come inside, the arrest report states.

Moore said he needed to put his dog away and then closed the door. He then came back and let the deputies in the home. Only Moore and Hirschmugl were present, the report states. Officers asked about the other man inside the residence and was told there was no one else there. Officers asked if they could look for the other man and Moore said he would walk the officers through the apartment, the report states. In the small bedroom in plain view on the dresser and a small table offiers observed several items of paraphernalia and a white crystalline substance that was believed to be methamphetamine, the report states.

Officers told Moore that they knew someone else was hiding in the closed bedroom door. Moore stated that there was someone in that bedroom and produced Brandon Peart, the report states.

While Peart was exiting the bedroom a small baggie of marijuana was observed in plain view on the floor of the bedroom, the report states. When asked about the marijuana Hirschmugl stated that it was his. During a consent search of Peart officers recovered a small electronic scale with marijuana residue, the report states.

Moore was asked if there were any other drugs in the home, specifically in the bedroom and he stated there wasn't, stating that a K9 could search the residence, the report states.

Deputy Pullen and K9 Rex located a glass smoking pipe, a spoon with meth residue and used cotton balls on a stand next to the bed, the report states. Also located were several used and unused syringes in the master bedroom. The dog also alerted on a backpack in the bedroom where Peart was hiding. Officers asked Peart if the backpack was his and he stated it was, the report states. Inside the backpack were several used syringes, a tourniquet and a spoon, ll items commonly used to inject methamphetamine.

None of the three arrested claimed the meth and multiple paraphernalia items was theres. All three were placed in custody and charged with possession of methamphetamine and paraphernalia. Hirschmugl faces a charge of marijuana posession as well and alternative sentencing wanted Peart arrested for Arrest of Probationer, the report states. All items were taken and booked into evidence.

— A transient was arrested early Monday morning and faces a felony charge of being in possession of methamphetamine. Thomas Alan Dias Jr. was arrested in the 1800 block of East William at 12:56 a.m. Monday.

According to the arrest report, officers responded to the location on a call about a suspicious subject that was trying to get into a closed business and was going through a dumpster. Upon arrival officers saw Dias in the caged area of the dumpster area, the arrest report states.

Officers recognized the man and asked him to put his hands on his head so that he could be searched for weapons. During the search the arresting officer found a syringe and and what the officer believed to be a small bag of methamphetamine, the arrest report states. He was taken to jail and also faces a misdemeanor charge of possession of a hypodermic device. Bail: $3,500.

— A call to a home regarding domestic dispute ended up with a Carson City woman going to jail on a felony warrant out of Vermont.

Tanya Beaver, 40, was arrested at 8 p.m. in the area of Castle Way in Carson City on Jan. 26, after a warrants and wants check had her wanted by Vermont authorities for being in violation of her probation, according to a Carson City arrest report.

The out-of-statee charges were contributing to a delinquency of a minor less than 16 years of age, and drug delivery to minors, according to a Vermont Superior Court warrant.

— Those arrested and facing charges are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
