Carson City authorities arrest two in stabbing incident

A woman faces felony charges after allegedly twice stabbing another woman in a Carson City fight.

Lynsey Kieffer, 21, was arrested Monday at 1 p.m. for felony battery with a deadly weapon, felony possession of methamphetamine, misdemeanor possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

She is accused of stabbing another woman in the arm and back outside a downtown Carson City casino. Security cameras captured the scuffle between the two women, and showed the victim walking back to the casino covered in blood.

After the incident, the victim told deputies that Christopher Schumacher, 28, sent her a text message that read, "where u at, and don't tell on her. Tell them it happened in the park an u couldn't see who it was." She also said that Schumacher called her and said "don't tell on her or I will kill you."

Deputies found Kieffer and Schumacher at a residence in the 1500 block of Como Street, where they were taken into custody.

Schumacher was arrested for felony dissuading a witness. His bail was set at $15,000. Kieffer's bail was set at $31,996.
