Two Carson City men face drug charges after officers found methamphetamine in a vehicle.
Stephen Charles Wilhoite, 47, and Dennis Lloyd Lee, 44, were arrested Aug. 21 in the 2000 block of Oak Ridge Drive. According to the arrest report, officers with the Special Enforcement Team went to a residence to serve a felony warrant.
Officers observed Wilhoite in the front yard with Lee. The arresting officer identified himself and the reason for being at the residence, according to the arrest report.
The report states Wilhoite ran to the passenger door of a Dodge Ram, opened the door and reached inside. The officer made several commands for the man to stop, the report states. Fearing the man was possibly reaching for a weapon or a means of escape, the officer grabbed the man and threw him to the ground and placed him in cuffs. The officer learned the man was reaching inside the vehicle to hide approximately 1 gram of meth near the floorboard, the report states.
The remainder of the vehicle was searched with the consent of Lee. Officers found two additional grams of meth in a bag, also a billy club baton, and two glass methamphetamine pipes.
Wilhoite faces a felony charge of possession of a controlled substance, and a felony warrant, failure to maintain child support. He also faces a misdemeanor charge of obstructing a police officer. Bail: $12,907. Lee faces a felony charge of being in possession of a controlled substance, gross misdemeanor possession of a dangerous weapon, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail: $6137.

— A Carson City man faces a felony charge of indecent exposure after being found without any clothes on in the area of King Street in Carson City on Aug. 22, 8:35 p.m.
George P. Weme, 23, also faces a misdemeanor charge of domestic battery after allegedly assaulting his father.
According to the arrest report, officers were dispatched to the area on a domestic dispute. While in the area, a motorist informed officers there was a naked man standing on the southwest corner sidewalk rubbing his genitals. Officers placed Weme into custody. Another officer interviewed the father of the suspect who said his son had thrown a picture frame at him, striking his arm. Bail: $6,137.
A Watsonville, Calif., man faces a felony drug charge after being arrested by Carson City authorities Aug. 22 at Brown and Gordon streets.
James Edmound Savage, 55, was stopped on a traffic matter Aug. 22 at 10:42 p.m. Deputies asked the man if he had ever been convicted and the man said he had been convicted of a felony. He had two felony convictions, according to the arrest report. The man stated he was staying at a local motel and was in town for about four days.
The man was asked by an officer for a consent search of the vehicle by a K9 and the man agreed. During the search officers found a spoon with meth and several hypodermic devices, according to the arrest report. Savage was arrested at 11:27 p.m.
He faces the felony drug charge and misdemeanor charges of being an ex-felon failing to register, possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to use a turn signal. Bail: $3,941.
— A 35-year-old Carson City woman was arrested near the intersection of Brown and Reeves streets on Aug. 22, 6:45 p.m. She faces a misdemeanor charge of being in contempt of court. Bail: $500.
— A 28-year-old Carson City woman was arrested in the 700 block of Country Village Drive on Aug. 22, 5:07 p.m., on a misdemeanor failure to appear traffic warrant. Bail: $212.
— A 42-year-old Carson City man was arrested Aug. 22, 4:23 p.m., in the 900 block of Woodside Drive on a misdemeanor warrant, being in violation of a suspended sentence. Bail: $3,000.
— A 33-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Aug. 22, 2:57 p.m. in the 400 block of Lee. The woman had an outstanding warrant for her arrest. Bail: $379.
Those arrested and facing charges are innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
