Carson City woman arrested on suspicion of failure to register as a sex offender

A 23-year-old Carson City woman turned herself into Carson City Jail deputies Monday on a felony charge of suspicion of first offense burglary.

Melissa Eleanor Mulder was being held on $20,000 bondable bail. A warrant for her arrest was issued Jan. 2, 2014 out of Carson City Justice Court.

In other arrests:

— A Reno man was arrested early Tuesday morning at the intersection of Nevada and Fleischmann streets on a felony fugitive from justice warrant issued from the Iowa Department of Corrections.
Randy Lee Bauman, 35, is being held without bail awaiting extradition. The arrest warrant was entered Nov. 9, 2011.

— A Carson City woman was arrested Jan. 12, 12:49 a.m. in the 1400 block of Rand Avenue. Melinda Joan Paetz faces a felony charge of possession of a controlled substance and violation of a suspended sentence.

— A 34-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Jan. 10, in the 1700 block of Carson and Long streets. Jamie Kelly Olson faces a felony warrant charge of failing to register as a sex offender.

According to the arrest report, a deputy was driving northbound on Carson Street approaching Long at around 5:28 p.m. when he noticed a male and female arguing. The officer turned around and the female took off east on Long Street while the male continued south on Carson Street.

The officer stopped the woman and checked for warrants. Dispatch returned with a confirmed felony warrant out of the South Lake Tahoe Police Department for failure to register as a sex offender. She was arrested and booked on the warrant charge. Bail: $100,000.

Those arrested and facing charges are innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
