Carson City deputies went to the 300 block of South Carson Meadows Thursday night to arrest one person wanted for a parole/probation violation, and ended up taking his friend, too.
According to the arrest report, deputies found Jason Michael Bender, 26, and Nathan Daggett, 18, coming out out of an apartment. They were there to arrest Bender on a misdemeanor failure to appear warrant. After searching Bender, they reportedly found he had a small amount of marijuana and a pipe, and two anti-anxiety pills for which he had no prescription. He was arrested for felony parole/probation violation, gross misdemeanor possession of a dangerous drug, misdemeanor possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, as well as the warrant.
Deputies ran a check on Daggett and found he was on probation with a condition to not associate with felons. And since Bender was a convicted felon on parole, they arrested Daggett for felony probation violation. Both men were held without bail.
